My client was desperate for an updated space. She had lived with her living and dining rooms for a number of years and they were very tired and dated. Some DIY jobs just weren’t really cutting it and overall the space was crying out for a makeover. You can see how it looked previously here.
The Pinterest board that my client and I shared had lots of different styles and colours on it. The client had expressed a desire for the use of green, however this colour wasn’t coming through as much as warmer, earthier colours in her pinned images.
After discussing the project and talking to my client at length about her likes and dislikes, I was able to translate the information into a brief and find a unifying theme we could use. I found the perfect fabric that I knew she would love and the colour side of the project fell into place. Overall, the images she liked and the preferences she talked about led to a modern, fairly minimal scheme with some elements of luxury with brass/gold accents.
I provided my client with a space she could personalise. She wanted to source her own rug and coffee tables, and she had shelving ready for her to form her own gallery wall.
