A Serene Sanctuary – A Master Suite

My clients are busy professionals who travel a lot. They wanted their master suite to be a place they enjoyed returning to. The previous occupants had created a dressing area and bathroom in the room off the bedroom, but it didn’t really work. It was dated and in need of an update, and the two functions in the one room meant that both were cramped. All in all, it was not making the best use of the space.

Although the bedroom is in the attic, it still had good ceiling height. The room was generous and that allowed me to bring a bank of fitted wardrobes along the wall where the bed had been. The clients were happy for their bed to be on the opposite wall where they had space for large scale bedside cabinets. I designed these to create good storage as well as being nearly double the width of normal bedside cabinets.

The better layout meant that the bathroom could be a real showstopper. I wanted the shower in the middle of the room and a luxurious bath and vanity unit at either end. Once I had my layout,  I enlisted the help of Cheshire Tiles & Bathrooms for the items I needed. They also did a brilliant 3D rendering so my clients could really see how the space would work.

Overall, my clients are really happy with the finished rooms, which provide a much needed sanctuary from their busy lives.
